A Forum on the Loss & Damage Fund: Implications for Vulnerable Sectors in the Philippines



Last November 8, 2024, CCNCI as part of Peoples Rising for Climate Justice Philippines (PRCJ-PH) in partnership with the University of the Philippines Institute of Human Rights (UP IHR) held a forum on the Loss and Damage Fund. November 8 marks the 11th anniversary of the landfall of the devastating Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).


Invited speakers included Atty. Mark Dennis Joven of the Loss and Damage Fund Board (who joined online), Atty. Raymond Baguilat of the UP IHR, and Ms. Joice Leray of Center for Environmental Concerns. Reactors from peasant, fisherfolk, Indigenous peoples, workers, and the development sector were also present.
